RC Avenue (also known as “RC AVE”) is an up and coming artist whose style attracts anyone who will listen. This 19-year-old artist has a natural gift for ear-catching hooks and smoothly blending everything together to create a nostalgic sound. Listening to his music is like drinking a hot cup of cider; sweet and comforting. RC Avenue’s influence definitely comes from a love of pop. Much
of his sound brings the listener back to a time where music is simply music. The feeling of the music takes priority, and the meaning behind the music adds so much more.
“Coffee Shop,” the most recent 2024 release after his new song “So What?” , brings the best out of RC Avenue’s style. An easy melody, the enticement of the percussion, and smooth vocal blending. There’s something ‘bout this place I can’t ignore is a line from the song that perfectly embodies the feeling of the song. When you hear it, the melody does not leave your mind.
“Emilia,” another one of RC Avenue’s 2024 releases, sports an island-type style. The percussion, blended with the smooth vocal layering, takes the listener to a zen state of mind. On top of this unique sound, the subject of the song is a woman who embodies the spirit of the islands. Her wavy hair is just like the tides…Just her and I, my Oceanside. This woman is, in one word, a dream. She
is the image of perfect. In the music video, RC goes on a journey to find this woman and takes the audience with him on a one-take expedition.
Visually, RC Avenue likes to keep the feeling of the song priority. The music videos are in the style of a new digital age, sporting the popular VCR glow or the faded film coloring. Much of the colors in the videos are in that faded look with slight vibrance to them. The style of video really sucks the audience in and transports them into RC Avenue’s world.
RC Avenue takes his listeners into his world, a world full of his creation. It is not a forcible journey, but an easy one which the listener gladly participates in. He is able to take hold of your attention and keep it for the entirety of a song. Listeners will love to listen to his sound and appreciate the craftsmanship of his producing power.
