Ado Unveils Electrifying New Album: Exploring Soundscapes of the Future

Japanese artist Ado has released her latest and greatest album Zanmu, a release heavily anticipated by the world. The album features sixteen energetic songs, each distinct in its own way. Fans have been waiting for this album for a long time, and they will not be disappointed listening to it.

Ado was introduced to the world in 2020 through the One Piece movie soundtrack. Her special sound and unique voice captured the hearts of people worldwide and sparked her world tour “Wish” in February 2024. At only 21, Ado has made a footprint in the global music scene and left an irreplaceable mark.

Ado comments, “Until now, I have released “Kyougen”, “UTA’S SONGS ONE PIECE FILM RED” and “Ado’s Utattemita Album”, so the fact that this new release is only the second Original Album, surprises me. I hope you enjoy the world of Ado that was powered up since the release of my first Original Album. “Zanmu” is an existing word, meaning, dreams that were never realized, or lingering dreams that remain in the heart even upon awakening. I have always loved this word and thought it represented the dreams I have fulfilled in my life and the youth that could not be fulfilled. Things from the past become glorified as they fade into the past, shining brightly, and this concept resonates with the bittersweet feelings within me as an individual working alone all this time. I hope that those bittersweet feelings of mine will become enduring dreams, just as I hope that Ado’s presence, songs, music, Vocaloid, and Utaite will become something that all the listeners of the album hold onto in their hearts as enduring dreams, as “Zanmu”. I named my album with this sentiment in mind.”

The sound of the album is a dynamic display of Vocaloid talent and production. Ado draws in her listeners by vocal flipping between phrases and brings in a grunge rasp. Her vocal technique is almost painful to hear. The emotion she can imbue within a few words is truly remarkable. The album includes a variety of songs, including the mega-hit song “Show” which she performed at her first appearance at “Kouhaku Uta Gassen” in Japan, “Kuea Kura,” the opening theme song for the anime series “SPY×FAMILY” Season 2, “Himawari,” the theme song for the TBS TV drama series “18/40 -Futari nara Yume mo Koi mo-,” “Chocolat Cadabra,” the first release of 2024 which is also the commercial song for Lotte Chocolate 60th anniversary, as well as several brand-new songs.
