The Summer School Tour presented by Idobi Radio features six bands and artists. On the lineup there are: Letdown , Honey Revenge , Scene Queen , Stand Atlantic , Magnolia Park and The Home Team.
On July 17th, the Summer School Tour was brought to Dallas, TX. The show began with a striking performance of “Karma” by Letdown. It was the perfect way to get the night started and the audience hyped up for the next few hours. It was the perfect way to release any energy that needed to be released.
After Letdown’s set was concluded, Honey Revenge made their appearance as the second opening act. Honey Revenge’s set was filled with lots of energy with many high kicks, jumping, and spins. They were very interactive with the crowd and they radiated so much joy, especially during their performance of “Airhead.” You just cannot help but smile until your mouth hurts when they perform.
Scene Queen finally made her royal entrance with a performance of “Pink Push-Up Bra.” She is known for incorporating feminist themes within the metalcore genre. The mixture of hot pink and screamo vocals made the perfect empowering setlist for the audience to enjoy. It was evident how powerful the audience felt following Scene Queen’s set.
Hailing from Australia, Stand Atlantic was next to take the stage. They opened their set with the track “WARZONE.” To fit with the high school theme of the tour, Stand Atlantic chose a prom queen and prom king from the audience and invited them onto the stage. A disco ball was brought out to shine above the audience to complete the prom experience.
Magnolia Park was the fifth act to come to the stage. They opened with an energetic performance of “Misfits” which held the crowd in a trance as they danced along. Devon from Honey Revenge was eventually brought out for a stellar performance of their collaboration “Unholy Heart.”
The final act of the night was the Home Team. Their setlist was much anticipated throughout the night. It has been a long three hours since the start of the show yet the audience showed their full energy for the Home Team. The band performed many songs from their album “The Crucible Of Life.”
