The Record Company’s Roll With It Tour made a frigid stop at Boulder Theater on January 13th, 2024. This was their fourth stop on their US Tour. From fans huddling inside to keep warm, to dancing under a disco ball, there was a ton of excitement in the room. Opener Jesse Ahern performed some of his well-known songs that got the crowd warmed up for The Record Company. The venue was filled with people enjoying drinks and talking to one another before the show. When talking to a fan, I asked what do you love about The Record Company, she said “Well, this is only my second time seeing them live but, I enjoy their music, and I’m here to listen to some good rock and roll!” When The Record Company took the stage, they immediately blew us out of the park with their unique sound.
The band played a 17-song setlist including some of their most popular songs: ‘Dance on Mondays’, ‘How High’, ‘So What’cha Want’, ‘Life To Fix’, and ‘Off the Ground’. The Record Company kept everyone on their feet, singing lyrics, interacting with the crowd, and dancing all night! The Record Company is a Grammy-nominated American rock band from Los Angeles. Members of the band include Chris Vos (guitar/lead vocals), Alex Stiff (bass/backing vocals), and Marc Cazorla (drums/backing vocals). The Record Company approaches their music in their own way with a blend of influences and artists like Muddy Waters and Jimmy Reed with an upbeat rock and roll vibe. Their debut album, ‘Give it Back to You’, made in 2016, was a strong rock album that earned a Grammy nomination. In 2018, ‘All of This Life’ was created with diversity but was just as passionate as their first. Their current album, ‘The 4th Album’, made in September 2023, splits the difference between tunes and hard-grooving rhythms.
