25 years ago a band named Silverstein was formed in Ontario, Canada – paving the path for the post hardcore genre for years to come. This year, the band sets out on the road to celebrate 25 Years of Noise and on January 11, 2025 the House of Blues in Boston was packed with eager fans from all walks of life, creating a palpable buzz in the air.

The opening act, Arms Length, set the tone for the night with their emo vibe and emotionally charged lyrics, gaining a strong response from the crowd. Post hard core legends, Thursday, followed with a set that showcased their ability to balance aggression with vulnerability. Vocalist Geoff Rickey’s raw delivery and the powerful instrumentation made it clear they still have a fierce passion for what they do.

Silverstein, however, was the undeniable centerpiece of the night. The band, known for their ability to effortlessly blend melody with heaviness, delivered a performance that was both technically impressive and emotionally resonant. The setlist spanned their storied career, featuring fan favorites such as, “Smile in Your Sleep,” “My Heroine,” and “Smashed into Pieces.” The night was a celebration of the genre’s evolution, with Silverstein reminding everyone why they continue to be a pillar in the post hardcore community. From the first chord to the last, the House of Blues Boston roared with emotions and if you get a chance, make sure you check out 25 Years of Noise when it comes to your city!
