About God Said No:
God Said No will be the sophomore follow up to Omar Apollos critically acclaimed Ivory which got him a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2023 Grammys. The new album title is Omar Apollo’s take on “lo que sera, sera” which translates to “whatever will be, will be” or “it is what it is.” The phrase showcases Omar’s humorous outlook on suffering that comes from accepting whatever is thrown at you. The upcoming album was born from the success of his first album and what happened after including non stop touring with names such as SZA and Billie Eilish. He built his melodrama after spending 3 months in London. Omar cites Kate Bush, Labi Siffre, Girgio Moroder, Beyoncé being in rotation during this time. God Said No will be released on June 28th via Warner Records.
