From July 5th to July 7th, Marshfield, Massachusetts transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity and camaraderie for the Levitate Music and Arts Festival. Nestled against the backdrop of the Marshfield Fairgrounds, this annual event once again delivered an unforgettable experience blending music, art and a strong sense of community.
The festival’s lineup featured a diverse array of musical talents across three stages, Stoke, Style and Soul, catering to a wide range of tastes. Over 25 artists spanning across the reggae, folk rock and funk music genres took the stages over the three day festival weekend. The seamless organization and scheduling ensured that attendees could immerse themselves in non-stop music without missing a beat. Reggae band from Boston, MA, The Elovaters came in with a hometown throwdown on the Stoke Stage Saturday afternoon. With other performances by the likes of Dirty Heads, Cory Wong, Neal Francis, Mt. Joy and Iration just to name a few spanning across the three days. Closing out the festival on Sunday night on the Stoke stage was Long Beach natives and Reggae Punk idols, Sublime, featuring two of the band’s original members as well as the late Bradley Nowell’s son, Jakob. The band played a jam packed two hour set with all their hits, including, “Santeria,” “Wrong Way,” and “What I Got.” They also brought out members of the band, Stick Figure, to perform their new song, “Feel Like That,” which was a great surprise for all in attendance.
Beyond the music, Levitate Festival celebrated the arts in all forms. Interactive art installations dotted the festival grounds, inviting attendees to engage and interact creatively. The festival’s commitment to creating a visually stunning environment enhanced the overall atmosphere, fostering a sense of wonder and exploration.
Overall, Levitate Music and Arts Festival 2024 was not just a music event but a celebration of creativity, community and positive vibes. Whether you were dancing to any of the many bands, discovering new artists or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, the festival provided an immersive experience that left a lasting impression. As the sun set over the Marshfield Fairgrounds each night, it was clear that Levitate had once again succeeded in creating magical moments for all that attended.
