In this new winter season, Joseon releases “Snows” to the world. An anthem dedicated to bringing the people together. The harmonies and instrumental ad libs all come together to form “Snows.”
Joseon has recently finished their first tour, including their own set at South By Southwest and a sold out NYC debut. Their live performances cannot be missed. Local to Los Angeles, Grant Spitzer, Brennan Shin, and Jonah Cho frequently play in any and all venues around the L.A. area. The three band members have this electricity to their stage presence, completely trusting each other and their music. Their sound is a unique psychedelic alternative combination, but those words cannot describe their live music. They have previously described their music as “uncompromisingly stylistic,” which brings a unique energy to their stage presence. The three of them are made for the stage.
The grunge of Joseon’s discography is present in “Snows,” but the new single also brings out a different side to the band. A bitterness that is much more clear in the lyrics “Time is so unkind.” From the lead guitar melodies to the rawness of their vocals, Joseon brings listeners to a height only they can reach. The piece reaches a cinematic climax at the very end, leaving the audience wanting more. “Snows” has this unique repeatability where the song can play on a loop without the listener realizing it. If the song repeats, it brings new light to the emotional journey that Joseon brings the audience to.
Although Joseon is only in their first years in the music industry, they have already created an wave of listeners who are wanting more and more. They add to each other’s strengths in a way that can only be experienced live. All of “Snows” points to a specific member’s strength. Whether that be their vocals, performance, or instrumental solo. On social media, their numbers have soared in the last year, only proving the testament to their abilities.
Listen to Joseon’s “Snows” today. Do not miss out on hearing them live in their next performances. Seeing Joseon live should be on everyone’s to-do list before the end of the year.
