Franco-American art-pop duo, Faux Real, released their new single ‘Rent Free’ on February 7, 2024. ‘Rent Free’ consists of a Europop beat partnered with glitchy sound effects and strong guitar sounds. The single encapsulates the delicate nature of love and the acceptance of abandonment. It is accompanied by a music video impressively directed, produced, and edited by the duo themselves. Faux Real was founded in 2018 by brothers Elliot and Virgile Arndt. The duo experiments with many genres like post-punk and glam rock. The Arndt brothers embarked on an enchanting journey through contemporary pop culture, attracting an ardent fan following including popular acts such as Paramore and Wet Leg. Faux Real continuously transcends any boundary and barrier making their musical journey even more enticing. 

‘Rent Free’ is a single off of Faux Real’s long-awaited debut album Faux Ever. Their debut album will comprise of 11 tracks venturing into themes like heartbreak and labor. In a press release, Virgile described the album as a “reflection on art, brotherhood, authenticity, faults and triumphs.”
