Whenever you see Esteromance in concert, you know you’re going to have the most vibrant experience! They just concluded their self-titled tour across Texas with a mesmerizing performance on June 2, 2024, at The Paper Tiger in San Antonio!
Danny Bonilla jumped straight to business, opening up the evening with his powerhouse vocals and immediately setting a “feel-good” vibe with songs like “Dance With Me,” “Rather Be Alone,” and “Surrounds Me.” Throughout his set, he flawlessly transitioned between playing the keyboard and guitar, making it look so effortless to be a multi-instrumentalist. He even invited JUULS from behind the screen to announce a brand new song that they collaborated on together called “Same Mistakes,” set to be released on June 14th.
After much anticipation from the crowd, Esteromance took the stage. Originating from El Paso and Ciudad Jaurez, Manuel Calderdon, Adria Del Valle, and Paulina Reza transcended the crowd into a dream-like state with their choreography, intuitive lyrics, alluring harmonies, and mellow yet engaging rhythms. Their setlist included classics including “What Do You Want It To Be,” “Think of You,” and “Gardenia Dreams.”
The band’s performance was nothing short of captivating, with Paulina’s and Adria’s voices echoing throughout the venue, intensifying its impact once they were isolated. Surprising the audience, they grounded back to reality and slowed things down with a heartfelt cover of “La Gata Bajo La Lluvia” during their encore. Their music leaves a lasting legacy, fusing cultures together by singing in both English and Spanish, resonating with some and creating a newfound appreciation for others.
