Pop-funk prodigy Diamond Cafe has released a new single titled “Slowly Fading” along with an accompanying video featuring actress Maddie Phillips, known for her roles in Teenage Bounty Hunters and Gen V. The music video draws heavily from Laura Dern’s performance in the 1990 film Wild at Heart.
As a song, “Slowly Fading” represents a lost love from a time before or an ungraspable dream – think of the sensation of love being played out in a dream. Diamond shows off impressive falsetto vocals in the song that GRAMMY award-winning producer POMO produced.
Diamond will be on tour this spring and summer as he opens up for fellow Canadian artist TALK. He also announced that he will be playing at Festival D’ete in Quebec City with more tour dates to be announced.
Diamond Cafe was named Amazon Music’s Artist To Watch for 2024. Diamond gained traction in 2023 as he sold out numerous shows. He has gained support from names such as Zack Fox, Anderson .Paak, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and El DeBarge. Diamond stands out with his vocal power and range that calls to mind the all-time greats.
