The Worse Things Than Being Alive Tour, featuring Bayside, Finch and Armor for Sleep was a nostalgic journey back to the heyday of emo and alternative rock, infused with a fresh energy that left the crowd buzzing long after it ended.
Kickstarting the evening was Armor for Sleep heavily bringing the early 2000s vibe with their deep poetic lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes. They played all their well loved favorites including, “The Truth About Heaven,” and “Car Underwater,” really hitting the audience with a wave of nostalgia.
Finch brought raw energy and a powerful performance to the stage. Their classic hits like, “Letters to You,” and “What it is to Burn,” ignited the crowd, transporting everyone back to the early 2000s emo scene with a renewed emotion.
After much anticipation, Bayside took the stage, greeted by a thunderous roar from the audience. The band effortlessly blended old favorites like, “Duality,” and “Devotion and Desire,” with tracks from their latest album, proving their signature sound of punk rock and emo is as relevant today as it was when they first burst onto the scene.
All in all, on May 5, 2024, Bayside, Finch and Armor for Sleep delivered an unforgettable evening of music that took the audience on a trip down memory lane and served as a testament to the enduring legacy of emo rock.
