Aespa enters on the stage with an intoxicating energy that captures the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Los Angeles fans cheer in expectation as Aespa fills the stadium with sound and color. This electric opening brings the energy of the night up and prepares the audience for a memorable night. 

Aespa is a girl group originally from South Korea formed by SM Entertainment. Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning debuted as Aespa in November of 2020. The name “Aespa” combines the English words “avatar,” “experience,” and “aspect.” These three words connect to imply meeting another self and experiencing a new world. The four members shocked the world with their first single “Black Mamba,” bringing an otherworldly visual to the world. To further prove the girls’ talents, their debut EP Aespa features a solo song from each of the four members. Since their debut, these four girls have taken over the South Korean music scene, gathered international acclaim, and achieved commercial success. 

After the energetic opening of the night with “Drama,” the girls greeted the audience and expressed their gratitude. Aespa made sure to make every section of the Kia Forum feel seen, and they made sure to give attention to every fan in the audience. 

Aespa went through many of their popular songs throughout the night. Fan favorites “Black Mamba,” “Supernova,” and “Whiplash” were performed to a roaring crowd. In the middle of the night, each girl performed a solo. Giselle performed “Dopamine,” Karina danced to “Up,” Ningning performed “Bored!,” and Winter ended the solos with “Spark.” Another portion of the night was dedicated to Naevis, who is an AI character who has appearances in Aespa’s music videos. Naevis had her own solo to perform to fans, which has not been seen before. 

The end of the night was an incredible buildup to two songs remixed to be rock versions. Both “Next Level” and “Armageddon” had been transformed into incredible stage performances. The girls gave everything to Los Angeles and the fans could not have been happier. 

Every moment of Aespa’s concert in L.A. was memorable. If there were any non-fans in the audience, they became attuned to Aespa’s every note and move. Every song was executed to perfection and the love Aespa had for their fans was overflowing. As Aespa continues in their career, Los Angeles fans will continue to support the girls as they grow in both music and performance.
