Last night at The Masquerade in Atlanta, The Beaches delivered an electrifying performance on their “Blame My Ex” tour. The sold-out venue buzzed with contagious energy. The dynamic lighting highlighted their “The Beaches” sign, adding visual flair to their powerful stage presence. The setlist featured fan favorites like “Fascination,” “Want What You Got,” and “What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Paranoid,” with the crowd singing along enthusiastically.
JoJo’s comment about being both “party girls” and “sensitive women” perfectly captured the band’s message of embracing complexity, specifically for creative women in music. Highlights included the iconic performances of “Edge of the Earth,” the new track “Jocelyn,” and “Blame My Ex,” showcasing their skillful instrumentation and dynamic vocals. The warmth and humor of their interactions with the audience, paired with their intense musical delivery, embodied their unapologetic, rockstar spirit.
The Beaches’ ability to mix humor, energy, and empowerment was inspiring, especially for young women in the audience. They broke the mold of what a rock band should be, proving you can be both creative and strong—an empowering message to take away for the entire audience, and their fan base as a whole.
