On the night of November 19th, the Moroccan Lounge became a haven for music as three incredibly talented artists took the stage. Headliner Emei with openers Chandler Leighton and Lulu Simon each brought a unique sound to the evening making it like a cohesive painting.
Opener Lulu Simon, added a touch of indie charm to the night. With a voice that effortlessly floated over the crowd, her performance was a breath of fresh air to start the evening with. Her music, a cool mix of lyrics and dreamy melodies, created a feeling of pure enchantment. Simon’s humility and humbleness from the crowd’s compliments on stage made her a relatable and refreshing presence, leaving a mark on everyone in attendance.
After Lulu the next opener of the night was Chandler Leighton, whose indie rock sound gave energy for the evening. Leighton’s performance was evidence enough that singing is something that powers her. The audience was left like an overflowing pot ready to explode with excitement.
Emei with her stage presence and girl pop sound was magnetic, drawing the crowd into her world from the very first note. Her ability to connect with the audience brought the entire experience to a whole new level, making it clear why she is a rising star on the music scene.
As an avid concert goer I can confidently say this was the best show I have experienced in a long time which only makes me more excited for more music and a new tour hopefully soon!
