On the evening of February 6, 2024, Denver’s Ogden Theatre became a haven for music enthusiasts as Poolside, the iconic American nu-disco and chillwave band from Los Angeles, took the stage. Setting the mood for the night, The Undercover Dream Lovers kicked off the evening with their signature blend of groovy guitar riffs, funky keys, and indie vibes, captivating the audience with their sound.
As the night progressed, Poolside kept the energy high, delighting fans with their unique brand of easygoing, danceable tunes. The concert created a laid-back atmosphere while creating memorable rhythms and heartfelt melodies. Throughout their 17-song set, Poolside treated the crowd to a selection of tracks from their acclaimed album ‘Blame It All On Love,’ released just a few months prior in October 2023.
Among the standout moments of the evening were performances of fan-favorite tracks such as ‘Harvest Moon,’ ‘Feel Alright,’ ‘Around The Sun,’ ‘Ride With You,’ ‘Float Away,’ and ‘Each Night.’ Each song resonated with the audience, creating a sense of nostalgia and fond memories, as fans swayed and danced along to the irresistible beats.
Formed in 2011 by Jeffrey Paradise and Fillip Nikolic, Poolside has become known for their unique take on nu-disco, which they call “daytime disco.” The band’s lineup, which currently includes Jeffrey Paradise (lead vocals/guitar), Vito Roccoforte (drums), Mattie Safer (bass/vocals), Casey Butler (saxophone/vocals), and Alton Allen (vocals/guitar), brings together a diverse array of talents to create a sound that is both alternative and timeless.
With their relaxed yet upbeat rhythms, smooth electronics, and lounge-inspired ambiance, Poolside has carved out a spot in the music scene that is all their own. As the night came to a close, it was evident that Poolside had once again created an unforgettable experience for fans, leaving them eagerly awaiting their next opportunity to listen to their music.
