1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, a new media and art collective from 88rising and RCA Records, make their debut with Toronto based instrumental group, BADBADNOTGOOD and Griselda rappers, Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine to bring us their first single, “MiNt cHoCoLaTe.” 

BADBADNOTGOOD are known for their engaging projects and dreamlike jazz instrumentals – mix that with the cool, confident lyricism and flow from Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine and you have the makings for beautiful and euphoric artistry. 

Alongside the single, they released a fun and imaginative music video *you can watch below* that tells the story of an elementary school band called, Ryan and the Destroyers. The playful video shows the band dreaming of playing, “MiNt cHoCoLaTe,” at their schools talent show. It definitely helps to showcase just how dreamy it is for BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine to collaborate on a project. 

Although future details of 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE have yet to be released, they’re off to a promising and fun start and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
